This message deals with a crucial need for the church today: shepherds. The apostle Peter defines the responsibilities: lead, feed and protect God's people. It's this kind of care that guides us to green pastures and keeps us healthy in our relationship with God. Jesus is our Great Shepherd. He has modeled it all for us.
A beautiful reminder of how Jesus is our Savior. He saves us from our false idols that we put our trust in. He answers when we realize we cannot do it on our own. We cry out to the Lord. He is our Savior!
