Prayer is vital to followers of Jesus, and vital to any Church that strives to seek the kingdom of God. Our next prayer meeting will be on Sunday February 26th at 4pm in the gym on the second floor of the Anderson building. Please bring a list of 5 people you know that people can pray for. If you can, please join us in seeking the Lord.
Friday February 24th, we're going to meet at 65 Dorland at 6:20pm and walk together to the BART station at 16th and Mission. We will be serving at YWAM San Francisco at 357 Ellis St from 6:45-9/9:30pm and then BARTing back to church where pickup is at 10pm or if you need a ride, I'll be providing rides home. YWAM is a fabulous organization our church partners with and their experience working with youth ministries is extensive. Youth ministries from across the Bay Area and country come to YWAM for service projects throughout the year. Friday evenings they have a Hot Chocolate Ministry where they send teams out around the neighborhood and provide folks with a nice hot chocolate and the opportunity to pray for them. Each evening begins with a training/orientation for the teams led by YWAM's experienced staff and there is a debrief afterwards as well. We will be holding our own debrief when we get back to DPC together that night. Our prayer is that it will be a valuable time to be stretched and grow as leaders and students alike.
**** Just for peace of mind, for safety reasons students are never sent out in groups without an adult from our church present who is leading the team.
What to Wear: Closed-toed, comfortable shoes and Layers.
What to Bring:
1. A DPC 2016/17 permission slip AND a YWAM Permission slip (click here for under 18 and here for over 18).
2. $3.90 for BART.
3. $5 for the cost of the service supplies. (DPC will cover the other $5 as it's $10 per person).
Attention DPC youth! We're hitting up Arnold, CA this President's Day weekend from February 17-20th for our annual winter retreat! Click here for a flyer with information about cost, what to bring, and what not to bring. We'll either have snow this year or drive and find some, so be sure to bring warm snow clothes.

DPC is a polling place. On November 8th, Election Day, we will be providing baked goods for the voters. If you would like to participate in blessing our neighbors, we’d love to have you help. It would be great to have people come in for a few hours at a time. We need people to replenish the baked goods and coffee, bake things, be friendly, and not speak about politics in the kitchen. If you would like to participate, you can email Vicki Peterson at firstname.lastname@example.org.
